Sports clubs on site

Anchor clubs share the grounds so that football, boxing, tennis, cricket and table tennis stay affordable for Perry Barr and the wider inner city.

Under 14 football team

Continental Star Football Club

The club has served the inner city for three decades and works as a social enterprise and charity to reduce barriers for people living in Birmingham. Teams run from a development centre for ages 6–12 through to veterans. Sessions focus on enjoyment first, then match fitness and pathways into coaching.

Boxing community

Aston ABC

Boxing and fitness for ages 8–34. Boys, girls, women and men are welcome. After-school clubs and holiday courses let members keep fit or enter tournaments that can lead toward regional and national honours. Coaches are qualified, the club holds Clubmark, and it is affiliated to the Amateur Boxing Association of England with insurance through that body.

Floodlit tennis

Holford Drive Community Tennis Club

The club opens tennis to new audiences with affordable membership, pay-as-you-go court hire, coaching, Tennis for Free sessions and a family atmosphere. It is registered with the LTA and the coach is accredited to teach adults and children. Four floodlit courts stay playable into the evening.

Continental Star Table Tennis Club

Programmes are built so young players grow in school and in the sport. The aim is a pathway toward regional, county and England representation through rigorous, enjoyable sessions in the studio.

Continental Star Cricket Club

Cricket uses a table laid in 2012 with five pitches, plus practice nets. Junior and adult nets are booked around football so the outfield stays in condition for both codes.
